Anastasia Matvienko

Anastasia Matvienko is a ballet master and co-author of the BalletStage projects. With years of stage experience as a principal dancer and deep expertise in classical ballet, she brings both artistry and leadership to the team. At BalletStage, Anastasia works closely on developing creative concepts, staging performances, and mentoring young dancers, helping to shape productions that honor tradition while embracing new ideas. With over 20 years of experience, she has performed on some of the most reknown ballet stages and with companies around the world

Her ballet journey started at the Kiev State Choreographic School, where she trained to become a top dancer. Anastasia has won many awards in international ballet competitions, including gold and silver medals, as well as special prizes for her performances
 

Anastasia has danced many famous roles in ballets like Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and Giselle. She has also performed modern works by famous choreographers such as George Balanchine and Alexei Ratmansky. She has toured the world, performing in Europe, the United States, Japan, and more
 

In addition to performing, Anastasia works to support the arts and help other dancers. In 2022, she co-created "Ballet Stage," a platform that helps Ukrainian ballet artists affected by recent events. She also teaches and shares her knowledge to inspire young dancers.

Anastasia is proud to be an ambassador for Gaynor Minden and La Prima Ballet School. She is passionate about sharing the beauty of ballet with audiences everywhere..
